Garlic Chilli Lime Shrimp

Garlic Chilli Lime Shrimp is a great preparation served with rice and good fresh shrimp. I like to over-buy and use these shrimp in salads and in gazpacho

Garlic Chilli Lime Shrimp


1 teaspoon paprika
1 tablespoon minced garlic
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon dried red pepper flakes
1 teaspoon ancho chili powder
pinch of black pepper
1 tablespoon olive oil
juice of 1 lime (about 2 tablespoons)
For the shrimp
1 lb peeled and deveined shrimp – ideally wild rather than farmed
1 tbsp olive oil

In a bowl, mix together all the ingredients of the marinade. In a gallon-size zip lock bag, combine shrimp and marinade and combine. Let sit for 30 minutes for flavors to permeate.

In a large skillet add oil and heat to medium high

Add shrimp and cook 4-5 minutes or until done. Serve over rice with cilantro garnish
