Welcome to Madoli – memories over dreams.
Celebrating making memories over chasing dreams – the journey versus destination.
Memories are made from big and small things – a well made meal or a dinner party with friends. Trips to far flung places as well as just around the corner. Thoughtful pieces and prayerful spiritual discovery as well as Haiku composed on bike rides in our Colorado home.
We hope to inspire you to create your own memories and enrich your lives.

My name is Martin – an English transplant living in the US. I came over in the early nineties and fell into working in digital media which has allowed me to travel experience the highs and lows of the Internet. I love to cook (or rather I love to eat therefore i cook), travel and read and try new things like giving up alcohol for a year.
I started the blog as a way to capture recipes that have been passed to me and share so my family could find them when they needed them. Some of these were perfected by my dad and brothers. I grew up enjoying them as well as traveling through Europe every summer in our caravan. This taught us to try new things and take risks to encounter new experiences and people – I guess that’s why I ended up here. Take time to stay in touch, link to the site below and check in to see what’s new as we turn more dreams into memories.
