Chilli con Carne

Chilli con Carne was one of the first things I learnt to cook and is a great standby when you want something wholesome. By using broth, low fat beef and rice this can healthy too

Chilli con Carne

1 lb lean ground organic beef
1pkt McCormick Hot Chill Seasoning
1 tbs Olive oil
1 can diced tomatoes
1 small can tomato sauce
1 medium onion chopped finely
1 Cup chicken broth
1 can Red kidney beans
1 Cup rice

(Grated cheese if required)

Heat oli to medium and fry onion until translucent. Turn up heat and add meat. Brown and cook the meat thoroughly, taking time to break down any chunks.

Add tomatoes and cook till they break down. Add chilli seasoning and coat.

Add tomato sauce and bring to heat then add the both and bring to light boil

Add kidney beans

Allow to simmer and reduce while you cook the rice.

Combine in a bowl and serve
