Easy Red Beans and Rice

Easy Red Beans and Rice packs a nutritional punch with great flavor and a little heat.

Easy Red Beans and Rice

1 tbsp olive oil
12 oz andouille sausage
1 onion, chopped
1 Green Bell Pepper, chopped
3 ribs celery, chopped
2 garlic cloves, minced
2 tsp. Zatarain’s Cayenne Pepper
1 tsp mixed herbs
1 bay leaf
2 tsp. Zombie Cajun Hot Sauce
2 16-oz. cans red beans
8oz chicken broth
Salt and pepper
rice, for serving

In a large saucepan heat oil. Cook sausage until slightly browned. Add onion, green pepper, and celery and cook until slightly softened, about 4 minutes. Add garlic and cook and cook for 2 more minutes. Add cayenne, bay leaf, herbs hot sauce,and beans and stir until fully mixed.

Add chicken broth Simmer for 30 minutes, until beans are fully heated and flavors blended.

Spoon over rice and garnish with green onions. Enjoy
